Abstract

This paper presents an enhanced approach towards a unified data analysis tool. EWMS2 aims at a higher degree of flexibility and the possibility of considering operational judgement within data assessment. At the same time reliability of analysis algorithms as well as the support of multiple simulation tools should be maintained. Within the paper a detailed requirements analysis, the design process, the derived software and the results of a user study are presented. A critical review is provided and further improvements of EWMS2 are suggested.
