Abstract

This report gives an overview about the activities developed in DLR-SART during the 24 months of the HYPMOCES (HYPersonic MOrphing for a Cabin Escape System) project duration. Focus in the project is given to the passengers’ cabin escape system integrated within the SpaceLiner hypersonic transportation system, having the objective to ensure safety and comfort of the on-board passengers. The work consists into the cabin escape overall architecture definition, evaluating in terms of system aspects suited morphing wings concepts and their integration within the SpaceLiner mothership as well as the characterization of different subsystems giving contribution to the overall design.
