Abstract

The present report documents ballistic impact tests on silicate ceramic layers with metal layers. The two layers of ceramic matrix composite (CMC) material specimens and Nickel-based steel alloy were positioned back-to-back. The CMC specimens were circular plates made of Keraman. The metal plates were of Inconel 718 (IN718) specimens. The metal plates were fully clamped while the CMC plates were positioned by three cantilevers. The just contained velocity was determined. CMC fragmentation was determined by computed tomography. In dem vorliegenden Bericht werden ballistische Aufprallversuche an keramischen Platten dargestellt. Dazu wurden Silikatkeramikplatten aus Keraman auf metallischen Platten aus Inconel 718 (IN718) angeordnet und unter senkrechtem Impact getestet. Es wurde die Durchbrechgeschwindigkeit bestimmt. Die Computertomographie konnte erfolgreich zur Volumenbestimmung der Fragmentierung in CMC Material eingesetzt werden.
