Abstract
From the so far discovered over 100 extrasolar planets some are orbiting with a semi major axis less than 0.1 AU in very close proximity to their host stars. Therefor these planets are subject to extreme tidal forces. Some of these planets even have a considerably large eccentricity. We shall discuss how this affect the planetary orbit evolution and the planet's intrinsic stability.
