Abstract
The Report describes the results that were obtained during experimental thermal verification of the active cooling concept 2a in the frame of the EU FP7 project THOR. Tests were carried out on a ceramic leading edge configuration in a test campaign in DLR’s arc-heated facility L3K. The experimental setup for the thermal verification tests had been described in THOR report D6.2. After a short description of the facility and a recall of the experimental setup, the main results from the thermal tests are presented. The results are further discussed and evaluated with regard to the particular objectives of THOR, including an assessment of the thermal performance of concept 2a. Finally, the main conclusions are illustrated.
