Kurzfassung
An advanced design approach for wind-tunnel models is presented which helps to achieve not only Mach- and Reynolds-number similarity but also a better geometric resemblance of the aircraft's wing at maximum lift conditions with respect to flight testing. The design approach was successfully validated using deformation measurements in the European Transonic Windtunnel (ETW). The effect of the deformation on the maximum lift coefficient and the corresponding angle of attack was evaluated.
