Abstract

Results from experimental and numerical investigation of liquid sloshing motion within large horizontal cylindrical vessel are presented. The natural sloshing frequency have been determined for the axial and the lateral sloshing case as well as the excited and the free motion damping characteristics by experimental investigation with CFRP demonstration tank and CFD simulations.
