Abstract

The wake of wind energy rotors is modeled as a tip vortex helix with a vortex strength estimated from its rotor thrust. A Bo105 helicopter and an analytical isolated rotor model are subjected to the wake. In both cases the trim perturba-tions generated by the wake are computed and compared to each other.
