HGF Alliance: Mid-Term Review Report "Remote Sensing and Earth System Dynamics - EDA" Part II: Perspectives Report

Kurzfassung

The activities during the next years for the different research topics (i.e. biosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere and cryosphere) are summarized. Focusing on deepening the developed and established knowledge to derive significantly improved remote sensing information products and services as well as to achieve significant scientific progress. In addition to the continuation of research work within the work packages as described by the EDA Alliance proposal, the synergistic research between the Earth spheres will be stronger carved out in the second phase of our Alliance. Apart from the development already foreseen in the research topics, connecting different Earth spheres together and workshops on specific themes will be further supported to enforce the synergistic thinking and networking for the benefit of new remote sensing products and improved understanding of remote sensing techniques and gephysical processes.
