Abstract
The investigation in WP 4.3.2 is done on long term behaviour of CFRP structures and deals with the material properties of a potential propellant tank for rockets or hypersonic vehicles, which use liquid hydrogen (LH2) or Oxygen (LOX). The application of CFRP materials in tank structures for such cryogenic propellants is a demand for the verification of the material compatibility. Challenging is the application in a wide temperature range between ambient and very low temperatures (20 K for LH2 and 80 K for LOX respectively).
