The interaction of railway vehicles and track in the mid-frequency range is not fully understood yet. However, this range is important for wear problems, therefore more knowledge is required. Since the conventional modelling of the vehicle-track system is not sufficient, this paper presents some methods of modelling, which consider the elasticity of wheelsets and track. The results obtained with this model show the influence of the elasticity on the behaviour of the system.
