In the present report two Navier-Stokes calculations are carried out for the EXTV vehicle in plume-off condition in order to numerically rebuild heat flux measurements. The flow conditions match with the values used in the experiments and in computations performed by other partners. One solution is obtained for laminar flow, while the second computation includes transition to turbulent flow on the windward side along a line with a comparatively complex geometry. For the definition of the transition line a tool is developed and the flow solver Cevcats-N is modified. the leeward side is considered to be laminar. The basic flow topology is outlined and the viscous effects are discussed. Aspects concerning the numerical accuracy and the grid generation are considered.
