Kurzfassung
During the performance of this study on space debris solutions, a large variety of concepts (both proposed already by companies and agencies, and innovative created by the authors) were considered. A technical and financial analysis allowed a selection of the most promising concepts, leading to a more thorough analysis of these. After this preliminary analysis, chemical thrusting and electrodynamic tether (as de-orbiting concepts) and the net and harpoon (as attaching concepts) were proven to be the most promising solutions and worked out in more detail.
