TEAM_Play D4.5 – WP4 Scientific Final Report

Kurzfassung

The TEAM_Play project (Tool Suite for Environmental and Economic Aviation Modelling for Policy Analysis) is a collaborative project co-funded by the FP7 Research Programme of the European Union which addresses the same requirement. It ran from December 2010 to March 2013. The main focus of TEAM_Play has been on creating a modelling framework in which existing European modelling capabilities could be combined in order to support and strengthen the European perspective in the international policy arena. The TEAM_Play tool suite also broadens the scope of potential impact assessments in order to improve awareness of additional effects which are crucial for aviation development but which were not yet fully addressed in earlier modelling systems. Examples are impact monetisation, third party risk, airport capacity constraints, extended forecast horizon, alignment of local, regional and global assessments. The current report considers WP4 which contains two main objectives, namely • The organisation, coordination and review of the overall scientific project activities; and • The development of durable structures for future operational management and coordination of the TEAM_Play Tool Suite. This scientific final report deals with the project activities that have been performed in WP4. Hereby, we put a special focus on those activities that took place in the second reporting period (project months 13-28: December 2011until March 2013), as the first reporting period (project months 1-12: December 2010 until November 2011) was already covered in the scientific mid-term report (D4.2).
