Kurzfassung
The paper presents the approach and the results of the “GNSS Repeater Study” performed by DFS together with DLR as subcontractor. The study was performed in the frame of the “SESAR 15.3.4 – GNSS Baseline Study” project. The objective of the study was to investigate the behavior of GPS airborne receivers in case of interference caused by GNSS repeaters. Furthermore the paper presents an an applied approach which is based on laboratory work, simulations and field measurements. The behavior of the GPS airborne receiver (e.g. position error) was analyzed for nominal and worst case GPS repeater configurations. Based on the results the paper presents recommendations for interference detection and mitigation by adequate requirements for aviation applications.
