Kurzfassung
Within the research project KOLINE a cooperative system for urban road transport is developed. It uses the communication between vehicles and traffic light systems (V2I) with the aim to reduce travel time and fuel consumption as well as noise and pollutant emissions. In order to evaluate different scenarios a testbed in Braunschweig, Germany is modelled in AIMSUN. Its core area comprises three signalised and partially co-ordinated intersections in a row. Pedestrians' and cyclists' flows are regarded and seven different vehicle types including public transport busses are defined. Their fuel consumption and emissions of four pollutants are modelled with up-to-date parameters. The presentation describes how the API is used in connection with a traffic light optimising software developed within KOLINE and which AIMSUN parameters are altered to map the new V2I and driver assistance systems. The second part concentrates on the usage and transformation of the AIMSUN output databases to evaluate the traffic related impacts. Three differently comprehensive evaluation procedures are applied to the outputs, including a standardised cost-benefit-analysis. Occurring problems and their workarounds are presented as well as an outlook how AIMSUN could better support or even include the procedures. Further regard is given to the issues of noise emissions and traffic safety estimations derived from vehicle trajectories.
