Kurzfassung
During the last years the concept of the perfect lens, made of left handed material having negative permittivity and permeability attracted researchers interest. With the realization of such a lens it became possible to break the diffraction limit and subwavelength imaging became possible. A full wave analysis of a three dimensional, finite and impedance matched metamaterial lens is performed. Mainly the impact of the aperture size on the focusing quality will be analyzed.
