Kurzfassung
In preparation of an overall support concept for scientists the DLR Microgravity User Support Center (MUSC) has started an initiative in supporting extended ground based research in biological sciences, nationally funded since 1995. This activity is an add-on to the support already performed for a great number of experiments on space flights (D1, D-2, IML-1, IML-2, EuroMIR '94/'95, MIR '97, Small Payloads STS 89, Neurolab STS 90). The MUSC offers a coherent concept of integrated user support. This comprises dedicated ground support programs for pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight increments and support to ground based research.
