Kurzfassung
Studies have shown that in 60 % of rescue missions the helicopter transports only the doctor to the emergency site. Among other things, this demonstrates the need for an emergency physician shuttle. DLR has developed a concept for a multirotor eVTOL with additional pusher propellers for this purpose. There are only a few studies on the optimum design of a multirotor, the interaction between the rotors and the influence of the fuselage. It was therefore decided to design a wind tunnel model that offers the possibility of investigating different rotor positions, rotor sizes, rotational directions and rotor distances among each other and from the fuselage. The result is the construction of a largely remote adjustable multicopter wind tunnel model with four lifters and two pushers. It turned out that the ability of the wind tunnel to mount model parts from the floor and from the ceiling was essential to fulfil the requirements for the adjustability of the wind tunnel model.
