Satisfaction with travel and acceptance of emerging technology

The workshop examines what drives travel satisfaction and the acceptance of emerging mobility technologies (e.g., EVs, autonomous and connected vehicles, smart cities, IoT). It reviews key influencing factors (instrumental, economic, psychological, social) and compares methods to measure preferences and behaviour, including stated choice experiments, multicriteria analysis, and structural equation modeling. The goal is to identify best practices and assess how well current tools capture real-world acceptance across scenarios such as parking, commuting under congestion pricing, and the rollout of autonomous vehicles.
