Kurzfassung
According to the Aeolus DISC project management plan for phase E2, the radiometric performance of the ALADIN instrument had been permanently monitored and investigated. This task was part of the work packages WP 300 (Assessment of Instrument Performance and Data Product Quality), WP 4100 (Data Quality and Monitoring for L1B and Calibrations), and WP 4150 (Algorithm Consolidation Studies for L1B and Calibrations). It was assigned to the task ID 10003: SBG signal analysis (within the topic Analyzing Aeolus Dark Measurements). Results of the monitoring and special investigations of in-orbit L1B Rayleigh and Mie solar background (SBG) signals and their ratios of the whole mission lifetime are presented and discussed. The SBG signal analysis is also one of the topics in the project management plan for phase F1, work package WP 1000 (Analysis of Instrument Performance and Calibrations). This WP aims at providing a consolidated overview of the instrument performance and its evolution during phase E1/E2 based on the analysis of the different measurement and calibrations modes carried out over the mission period. Thus this technical note contains also results obtained within phase F1 investigations.
