Kurzfassung
Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory (GLOSA) with Reduced Default Speed (GLOSA RDS) is a special GLOSA service / GLOSA configuration where the default recommended speed is below the allowed maximum speed. This allows more flexibility while influencing traffic participants and enables them to adapt more flexible to a green wave. In this poster the impact of GLOSA RDS on traffic efficiency and emissions are investigated. Therefore, a SUMO simulation is used to determine the speed distribution of road users and their CO2-emissions to analyses the investigation topics. GLOSA-RDS is compared with conventional GLOSA services, all combined with a green wave corridor. The results show a reduction in emissions compared to conventional GLOSA services. GLOSA RDS can lower the average speed on a track while in addition the number of stops accruing are decreased compared to conventional GLOSA services. GLOSA RDS therefore could improve both road safety and comfort at the same time.
