Kurzfassung
This thesis examines the safety of Automated Driving Functions (ADFs) and how to improve it. One way to improve safety of an ADF is to constrain the area in which an ADF is allowed to operate, for this purpose Operational Design Domain (ODD) is used. It will be investigated whether Traffic Sequence Charts (TSCs), a visual yet formal specification language for abstract scenarios, can be used for ODD specification. In particular, dynamic aspects of an ODD are examined, as these can rapidly change a traffic situation. Next, to detect ODD violations, it is examined whether a previous Runtime Monitoring for TSC able to check correct behavior of an ADF, can be adapted for ODD Monitoring. Finally, the developed ODD Monitor is simulatively evaluated in CARLA. The concept shows that it is possible to specify an ODD with dynamic aspects using TSCs. Furthermore, an ODD Monitor was adapted from the previously created TSC Monitor. Using the predefined ODD, the monitor was able to detect verdict changes at runtime in less than 0.1 seconds.
