Sandwich structures made of ceramic matrix composites

Kurzfassung

The presentation will focus on the development, manufacture and the properties of a new class of sandwich structures based on carbon fibre reinforced silicon carbide (C/C-SiC). Due to its unique properties like high thermal and chemical stability and low thermal expansion, lightweight C/C-SiC sandwich structures can open up new application areas in space and industrial applications.
