Kurzfassung
The Finite Element Method presents challenges in simulating large vibro-acoustic systems, particularly in terms of computational demands and memory usage. Determining the exchanged forces within dynamic models adds another layer of difficulty. In addressing these issues, this paper presents a new methodology employing Dynamic Substructuring and Component Mode Synthesis using the dual assembly approach. The method involves partitioning structural and acoustic domains into sub-components, each distinguished by its natural frequencies and modal vectors. This segmentation leads to the formulation of an eigenvalue problem and the creation of the vibro-acoustic dual assembly matrix. The solution to this problem provides the natural frequencies and modal vectors of the interconnected system. To evaluate the effectiveness of the method, a practical example is presented and analyzed. © 2024 Proceedings of the International Congress on Sound and Vibration. All rights reserved.
