Kurzfassung
The evolution of the boundary layer over an elliptic profile with 16% relative thickness has been investigated using Temperature-Sensitive Paint (TSP) in the GWB Watertunnel of TU Braunschweig- The experiments were performed on a two-dimensional model with a chord length c = 0.2 m at two Reynolds numbers (Re_c = 2.4 and 5.0 · 10^5) and a wide range of angles-of-attack (AoA = -4° to 30°). This enabled the time-resolved study (with 1 kHz acquisition frequency of the TSP data) of a variety of flow conditions, including laminar separation, laminar-turbulent transition and (static) stall.
