Kurzfassung
DLR's transponders are used as precise and well characterized RCS reference targets for satellite SAR system calibration. For future SAR missions, a dual-band transponder has been developed which operates in X- and L-band. The three-transponder-method will be utilized for the transponder's calibration. In order to support fully polarimetric L-band missions, the transponder requires an additional polarimetric calibration. The necessary steps to achieve said polarimetric calibration of the 'Kalibri Next Generation' transponder as well as first fully polarimetric acquisitions using the L/X-band transponder will be presented.
