Kurzfassung
This bachelor thesis deals with the conceptual design of the data processing of a flight data recorder in the ground segment of a high-altitude platform. The input for the data processing is a UDP stream in Irig 106 Chapter 10 format. This is a standard for flight test instrumentation issued by the Range Commanders Council for US Department of Defense projects. The stream from the flight data recorder is sent via a downlink from the highaltitude platform to the ground segment, where it is passed on to the data processing system via an Ethernet network. As a basis for the conceptual design, a requirements analysis and a market analysis are carried out. For the data processing, an extraction of the individual parameters from the recorded messages is necessary. In addition, the parameters must be displayed graphically for in-flight evaluation. For the conceptual design the hardware, network and software architecture are developed. Two concepts are created in this bachelor thesis. One concept is based on proprietary software, which is why the hardware and network architecture are focussed here. The second concept is a self-developed software based on C++. For this, an object-oriented approach is chosen and the architecture is recorded in a class and sequence diagram. An InfluxDB database is used to visualise the parameters. InfluxDB offers a browser-based user interface on which dashboards can be created for monitoring the parameters. The validation of the concepts is done by implementing a prototype. The prototype illustrates the core aspects of the data processing, although a test in conjuction with a flight data recorder was not possible.
