Kurzfassung
This presentation discusses the strategic roadmap of MOIA for the transition of driver-operated to automated on-demand ride-pooling services in Hamburg, Germany. The proposed roadmap is segmented into three phases: initiation, expansion, and growth, each representing an incremental increase in AV deployment and service area. The model envisions a transition from a small-scale, closed user group testing to city-wide operations. The societal acceptance factors and implications of this transition are explored, highlighting benefits such as reduced car ownership, decreased congestion, lower CO2 emissions, and enhanced accessibility. The Hamburg case study provides a practical illustration of the transition from driver-operated to safe, reliable, and efficient automated on-demand ride-pooling services.
