Kurzfassung
The C/C-SiC composites are made of several micro-components, whose properties are often not characterized precisely. Such a lack of knowledge makes difficult the use of multi-scale numerical simulations that require reliable microscopic data to estimate the influence of individual micro-parameters on the composite macroscopic properties. Because of the small volume of matter to be characterized, conventional methods are generally unpractical and modulated photothermal techniques, which operate without any contact at scales ranging from micrometers to millimeters, are the only convenient techniques.
