Kurzfassung
Vortex-dominated flow and their effects on motion-induced air loads in the case of transonic inflow represents a complex and so far not well understood sub-area of aerodynamics. Especially the modeling of such kind of flows with the help of RANS methods represents a major challenge with regard to the choice of initial and boundary conditions. In this article, the results of validation studies are presented using wind tunnel measurement campaigns. The main focus is on the dependence about the angle of attack and the associated characteristics of the vortexdominated flow.
