Kurzfassung
Air temperature is one of the important meteorological parameters which is not only used to use to monitor the environment, it also has great impact on the agriculture. Temperature vegetation index (TVX) method is used to estimate the air temperature in DEMMIN and PUNJAB test sites. In order to evaluate the benefits of the method in at two sites, the predicted air temperature and in-situ air temperature are compared together using with the regression analysis. The results summarized that TVX has predicted the air temperature with the RMSE of 2.0 0C in DEMMIN while in PUNJAB the RMSE of 1.0 0C. The Results shows that TVX method was successfully applied to both sites. The low RMSE value for PUNJAB was attributed to less dense network of stations fewer samples to compare the results. In comparison DEMMIN test site has more through network of stations around 24 stations used to test the results provides more real-life scenario.
