Kurzfassung
This conference contribution investigates an inverse source problem that arises from aeroacoustic windtunnel experiments (e.g. for aeronautical research). In such experiments one seeks to reconstruct the power of sources from correlation measurements outside the source region. For a homogeneous, subsonic flow field an uniqueness result for compactly supported, bounded and uncorrelated sources was shown in [HRS20]. Furthermore we examine a class of discrete imaging methods that was presented in [RSHE20], where each method is characterized by a weighting matrix that may depend on the data. This weighting matrix can be chosen in such a way that the variance of the corresponding source power estimator is minimized.
