Kurzfassung
In order to comply with tightening environmental regulation, the noise levels from turbine engines have to be greatly reduced in future engine designs. To investigate broad band and tonal noise, two facilities were constructed to investigate the capabilities of the measurement system as well as to perform first measurement in an actual aeroacoustics turbomachinery wind tunnel at University of Hannover. Four post processing techniques such as phase averaging, pixel wise FFT, POD and DMD were investigated and the PSP results compared to complimentary microphone measurements. This keynote presents recent results in aeroacoustics applications in cooperation between DLR and University of Hannover
