Kurzfassung
As a part of the DLR VicToria Project, the Global Luminescent Oil Film Skin-friction Field Estimation (GLOFSFE) method was tested on a two-dimensional supercritical airfoil (VA-2) model at the Transonic Wind Tunnel Göttingen. The GLOFSFE is an image-based method that measuring development of the oil film and processing the images to obtain the skin-friction field. The airfoil model of 1 meter chord by 1 meter-span was installed to the test section and the test condition was Mach number of 0.72 and the Reynolds number based on the chord length of 10 million. The oil-film images are mapped on the model surface and processed by a MATLAB code. The proper measurement conditions and difficulties in the trans sonic wind-tunnel test will be discussed.
