Kurzfassung
This paper presents experimental results using Temperature-Sensitive-Paint (TSP) optical flow diagnostics in high-speed and complex flows. High speed flow with high enthalpy condition is realized by the shock-tube and the shock-tunnel test facilities. These are recognized as a transient wind-tunnel facility in general. Few milliseconds test duration in such the facility makes the flow analysis in heat transfer difficult, we therefore attempted to develop the ultra-fast response TSP. In this study, the TSP was applied to a complex flow-field due to the Shock-Wave/Boundary-Layer Interaction (SWBLI) over a wall-mounted cylinder in the shock-tube. In addition, the TSP was applied to a scaled model of hypersonic glider in High Enthalpy shock-tunnel, Göttingen (HEG). Consequently, the instantaneous two dimensional heat transfer distribution by TSP enabled us to understand the details of flow structure and the behavior of flow unsteadiness on the surface, especially a peak of heat transfer and the boundary-layer transition detection are made clear in quantitative heat transfer.
