Kurzfassung
The presentation deals with the investigation of the energy absorption capability of aircraft structures by tests and simulations. Focus of the presentation with respect to the aircraft crashworthiness topic is the tension absorbers crash concept for which modelling aspects are especially discussed and validated vs. tests at element levels. A high velocity impact test case related to birdstrike resistant structures is also part of the presentation.
