Kurzfassung

Model based systems engineering (MBSE) and multi-disciplinary design optimization (MDO) are suitable and increasingly used for the design of complex products such as aircrafts. In order to describe and analyse new innovative cabin designs and its interrelations with other aircraft components, an MBSE approach is motivated. Furthermore, MDO methods enable a holistic design optimization on the foundation of this model-based description. In order to facilitate an efficient data exchange of data and parameters between numerical tools of different disciplines, a central data model is needed. Such a central data model is proposed in the present study for the assessment of vibro and cabin acoustics. This MBSE approach enables the inclusion of cabin comfort as a key driver in the design phase. With the incorporation of additional scientific disciplines in aeronautics, MDO benefits the overall cabin design. A first approach for MDO with special consideration of cabin acoustics is presented in this paper. The choice of a suitable requirement model is particularly emphasized, which is needed to yield reasonable results for customers. The overall aim of the methodology is an incremental enhancement of the processes and the development of new tools which facilitate the network of different partners engaged in the acoustic evaluation of cabin concepts.
