Kurzfassung
In this paper a method for the sequential calculation of drapable ply-cuts of fiber-reinforced materials is presented. It applies a previous developed graph-based draping algorithm and enhances it, not only to find a suitable draping-origin, but to consider a shear threshold. This is essential for realistic materials and their inert maximal shear-angle, which is corresponding with unwanted wrinkles. The presented method is able to calculate arbitrary ply-cuts for different shear thresholds on triangulated surfaces in an automated manner. Two doubly curved test geometries are invoked with different mesh sizes, also a range of shear thresholds is applied. The results show the methods invariants considering mesh size and shear threshold. The calculated ply-cuts give useful insights into the part manufacturing
