Kurzfassung
Atmospheric correction in DESIS and EnMAP processing chains - An Overview R. de los Reyes, M. Langheinrich, R. Richter, P. Schwind Atmospheric correction of new space-based hyperspectral missions DESIS (DLR Earth Sensing Imaging Spectrometer) and EnMAP (Environmental Mapping and Analysis Program) is being implemented at the final stage of the Ground Segment processing chain as L2A processor. The program ATCOR (ATmospheric CORrection), developed at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), is a versatile atmospheric correction software, capable of processing data acquired by different optical satellite sensors. A Python-based version of this code (PACO, Python-based Atmospheric COrrection) has been developed in DLR as L2A processor for DESIS and EnMAP to correct hyperspectral remote sensing optical data for atmospheric effects over land. In addition, EnMAP processing chain employs the software MIP developed by EOMAP to correct its data for atmospheric effects over water. In this contribution we will present the specific aspects of the atmospheric correction for both sensors and a preliminary validation results of PACO software, comparing L2A products generated from Sentinel-2 L1C images with in-situ (AERONET) data.
