Kurzfassung
A. Neumann, German Aerospace Center (DLR) DLR operates an electric propulsion (EP) test facility at its site in Göttingen. The EP test facility has several special features tailored to electric space propulsion testing, like a large vacuum chamber with low vibration foundation, low sputtering beam dump target, and a performant pumping system. The vacuum chamber is 12m long and has a diameter of 5m. This presentation shows the newly implemented measurement methods for plasma analysis and thrust measurement. Beam scanning systems like the C-Scanner and the Long Distance Beam Scanner will be shown, and the thrust balance will be described.
