Kurzfassung
The working principle and methodology followed for the Multi-pulse Shake-The-Box are presented. The iterative procedure for MP-STB is described together with the possible strategies for the acquisition of the multi-pulse sequences. Applications of MP-STB to turbulent boundary layer flows with and without pressure gradient are discussed and results are compared to data from other measurement techniques and results from numerical simulations when available. The potential of the reconstruction and tracking techniques when applied to double-exposed recordings are highlighted and the performances of the multi-exposed Multi-pulse STB are discussed based on results from actual recent investigations of turbulent boundary layers.
