Kurzfassung
The objective of this paper is to present the extension of the discrete mode matching method (DMM) for the analysis of microstrip patch antennas on metamaterial substrate. The procedure to deal with multiple metallizations in the interfaces of the multilayered structure is explained. To demonstrate the technique, a metamaterial structure is placed in the substrate which changes the dispersion properties of the antenna. A very good agreement has been achieved between the results from proposed method and commercial software.
