Kurzfassung
The increase of the number of satellites operating in geostationary orbit brings the importance of locating more than two satellites in a narrow stationskeeping box. In addition to the existing systems which control the satellites one by one, it is necessary to avoid collision, close approach and interference of satellites in a limited area. "New Collocation Control System (NCCS)" is a newly developed system to support a secure operation in the geostationary orbit. NCCS is being developed based on the "Geocontrol" which has been developed by DLR in Germany. The features offered by this system are shown below: - centralized management of the relative orbits for multiple geostationary satellite - Automatic and autonomous operations are a prerequisite design objective for an efficient operation - an option for upgrading a precision in the orbit determination to resolve a congestion on the orbit - limited modification on the existing system required for the relative orbit management - unified precision and coordinates for removing an error between various control/orbit determination systems - additional functions on the core software to support both of dialog and batch modes - supporting the graphic display and screen hard copy - supporting a combined operation of 3 axis satellites/ spin satellites This paper describes an outline and simulation result of the NCCS.
