Kurzfassung
There has been significant rise in the share of Light weight components made of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) in modern aircrafts structure. This has naturally enforced the CFRP production technologies to be enhanced along with the quality of the finished product. Project EWiMa, hence, aims at exploring new efficient technologies focussing on wing shell production. Autoclave process is a crucial phase in the CFRP component manufacturing and conventional process falls short in dealing with long process time and inhomogenous temperature distribution along the material length and thickness. These issues can be countered by integrating an auxiliary controlled heating source. Hence, the objective of the thesis is to setup the foundation for this State-Of- The-Research by conceptualizing, drafting and developing a feedback system for the proposed closed loop heating control system. A GUI is also developed for the operator control and data monitoring. The developed system is tested post-development for validation.
