Kurzfassung
The Hellas impact basin, located in the southern highlands of Mars, is one of the largest basins and the deepest impact structure on the planet. For geospatial analyses and inventory of landforms, it has been mapped by using the newly developed grid-mapping method. Results have shown that several of the mapped landforms appear to be latitude-dependent. Moreover, fluvial features generelly occur along the rim of the impact basin.
