Abstract

A new setup of a Fourier transform spectrometer for process monitoring / process control is presented. While many other devices for industrial applications are based on laboratory instrumentation this one is specially designed for industrial operation. The spectrometer works in the near infrared range at a spectral resolution of up to 2cm and a measurement rate of 16 spectra/sec. The unique features of the opto-mechanical setup allow real time scanning of many measurement locations at a short revisit time. The paper describes the hardware concept, gives the technical data of the system, and shows potential fields of industrial applications.
