Abstract
This paper gives a review of measurement and modelling techniques regarding the land mobile satellite channel. The land mobile satellite channel is described, and a narrowband channel model is introduced. Measurement results are fitted to the channel model, and resulting model parameters are presented. A four-state model for the diversity combination of two land mobile satellite channels is represented.
