Abstract
Textile composites show growing importance for efficient manufacturing and safe performance of modern aircrafts. The paper presents: 1. Efficient computational methods using finite volume-p-elements based on hierarchical shape functions and error estimators. 2. A new testing device accounting for combined out-of-plane loading. 3. Experimental validation of 3D-failure computation.
