Abstract

Concepts and tools for testing, fast and reliable simulation of buckling and postbuckling behavior of thin-walled aircraft structures up to collapse are milestones for reducing industrial development and operating cost. The paper presents a unique arrangement of experimental testing methods at the DLR buckling test facility and suitable computational methods.
